THE TORTOISE AND THE YARROW

Confucius narrates the ideological conflict between the SHANG and CHOU dynasties in ancient CHINA as he studies the origins of the I CHING. The powerful story comes to life on the stage. We see the historical characters interacting with the symbolic animals of the I CHING and each other. Incidental music and choreographed movement interweave with poetic text.
